Honoring with Bo

A more advanced aspect of bird dog hunting is the concept of "Honoring" or "Backing". This is when multiple dogs are hunting in the same area and when one dog goes on point, the other dog "honors" that point by pointing the first dog instead of continuing to find birds or interrupting the point. The honoring dog is an extension of the find.

Bo is currently getting training on when to recognize and honor a pointing dog. Today, he has successfully honored a pointing dog with very little correction.
